Baldur’s Gate 3gives you a lot of freedom when it comes to how you play.
But don’t worry.

Now, at this point in swashbuckling about, you may have earned a lot of confidence.
But there’s a time and place.
If you mouth off to this clearly massively powerful being, she will kill you.

To avoid this death, double-check which character you’re targeting.
Also, double-check you know your attack’s area of effect before committing to it.

This is a good lesson in trusting the game.
Common sense is not going to be enough.
The easiest path is going to bein the Goblin Camp, via the Selunite Outpost.
At risk of stating the obvious, if you are standing below it, it will also destroy you.
This is not the destroy-the-floor-and-also-quickly-enter-the-hole approach that you might like it to be.
This will really help you inareas like the Abandoned Ruins.
Baulder’s Gate 3 is not one of those games.
If someone lands on you, they’ll deal damage, especially if they’re heavy.
Like, say, a bear.
Sometimes, you want to embrace your villainous side.
This is an embarrassing reason to use a revive scroll in the middle of a battle.
It’s also incredibly confusing if you think you’re out of range of any attacks.
