Within Sanrio, you’re able to literally find hundreds of characters.
Some, like Chococat and Cinnamoroll, are quite iconic, while others are a little less popular.
If we had a nickel for every character based on dessert.
Here, we are going to take a look at some of the best human Sanrio characters out there.
Debuting in 1984, there is a lot we know about Tabo.
Interestingly, his dream is to become Santa Claus.
These Sanrio birds are adorable.
Although Eddy and Emma are still children, we wish them the best in following their dreams!
6Dean The Bean
You’ve probably never heard of Dean the Bean, huh?
Rather than being just one human, this is a group of (American) football players.
So, what’s the deal with this team?
Honestly, we have no idea.
Although they debuted in 1987,there is practically no information about them.
We love that the name seems like it’s just one person, but it refers to them all.
Still, just look at the art of these little football players.
The mysteriousness drew us in, and the simplicity earned them a spot on our list.
5Chunenheroine Ojisan
What could be better than middle-aged men and magical girls?
That’s exactly what Chunenheroine Ojisan is!
This trio of middle-aged heroines is a bit unknown, especially since there is not much content surrounding them.
Although they debuted in 2015, they only appeared on the yearly Sanrio ranking three years before disappearing.
The three have a special skill of tea tasting, but only if it’s green tea.
Additionally, a phrase that they commonly say is “I want to go home”.
While technically angels, there is no denying that they just look like strawberry-headed humans.
This absurd head shape is why we love them though.
Together, the Strawberry Angels live in the Strawberry Kingdom, ruled by none other than the Strawberry King.
The angels themselves have some unique names, which it’s possible for you to check out below.
3Culture Shock
This is another duo, composed of Yumenosuke and Tetsunoshin.
Debuting in 1985, these two samurai traveled to Paris to learn all they could about Western culture.
These Sanrio characters are purrfect.
Regardless of whether they dropped in popularity or not, we love Culture Shock.
2Tiny Poem
Tiny Poem is another Sanrio character from 1975.
Her adorable name alone should be enough to convince you that she deserves a spot on our list.
Interestingly, we do know a fair bit about here.
Just looking at her is enough to put a smile on your face.
It’s fitting too, since Ikkuchan is described to always have a pen and paper in hand.
This is because she loves writing haikus!
There are tons of Sanrio characters out there, but what is the exact amount?
