Cabin Fever is one of the many side quests you might find inAvowed.
In this quest, youll help Dehengen get rid of the Xaurips that have invaded her house.
Also, you’re in for an interesting secret about Dehengen herself and the real reason shes in Paradis.
Once youfinish the On Strange Shores quest,youll appear near the Clavigers Landing Beacon.
Kai can attack enemies, burn down the brambles blocking your path, and more.

Where Is Dehengen?
From the Claviger’s Landing Beacon Fast Travel, head straight up.
Avoid the stairs and stick to the right side.
Youll spota blonde woman shouting, just, how hard is it to answer a question?Thats Dehengen.
If you have enough points into Intellect, youll learn that her plants died of the plague.
you’re able to ask why shes in Paradis, but shell be vague about it.
Exhaust her dialogue options, thenagree to take care of the Xaurips.
Shell hand you her house key,officially starting the Cabin Fever side quest.
Turn left, cross another arch, then head right up a hill.
Youll seepointy wooden fences and two yellow and purple flags.
Theres an Aedryan Guard standing watch who will warn you of the danger ahead.
Youll also find Sanza near the Adra Waystone, across the road.
Pass her, and youll enter the Fractured Shore.
There are four of them.Take out the Xaurip Elder first, as it can heal the others.
After that, deal with the Xaurip Foragers.
Watch out for their thrown spears since they can deal a lot of damage.
Then, finish off the Xaurip guard.
After the fight, loot the Xaurips for materials, Copper Skeyt, andHealth Potion.
Once the area is clear, cross the wooden bridge.
Again,theres a gap, so watch your steps.
Climb the stairs, andyoull unlock Dehengens cottage Fast Travel, allowing you to return to her cabin anytime.
Dehengens Journal And Other Loot
Once youve found Dehengens cottage, theres plenty to check out here.
They arent much of a threat, so take them down quickly.
Interact with it and Kai will offer his insight about this mural, which isnt much.
Hell also suggest looking around, so thats what you should do.
There are otherwhite hand-like markingson the walls, but you cant interact with them.
Immediatelyon your left, against the wall, youll find Dehengens Journal.
Reading it reveals her strange interactions with a Xaurip and her dreams about it.
Kai will suggest speaking with Dehengen.Before heading out, grab the Skaenbonenear the wall with a white Xaurip painting.
Behind The Cabin
Step outside andhead to the back of the cabin.
From there, continue straight ahead to find someParadisan Laddernearby.
If you enter Dehengens cottage from the back, youll come across her journal first.
But aside from that, theres no major difference.
Should You Kill Tazaraak?
Hes friendly, and its likely hes the one who painted the mural in Dehengens house.
Youll see corpses of Xaurips.
Loot them if you want.
Once you reach the other side,youll find a white Xaurip.
Cabin Fever Quest Consequences And Rewards
Fast travel back to Clavigers Landing Beacon and speak with Dehengen.
Dehengens side quest is a small one with no major consequences that can impact the rest of the game.
The only reason to consider your choices is the immediate reward she offers based on your decision.
And also, your conscience.
Otherwise, you’re free to appeal to her empathy by suggesting sheput herself in the Xaurips shoes.
Either way, the quest will end, youll earn XP, and shell decide to meet the Xaurip.
As a reward,shell give you the Vindictive Band, a ring thatapplies Poison Damage on Critical Hits.
She wont meet with the Xaurip, andyoull miss out on the Vindictive Band.
However, youll still gain XP for completing the quest.
If youve been negative or doubtful, she will refuse to take the risk.
She immediately realizes that Tazaraak is dead and expresses regret over her decision.
Shell explain what really happened between her and the Xaurip.
Despite her sorrow, she doesnt blame you.Youll still receive XP and her gratitudefor completing the quest.
