With the quest accepted, you canbring Glut to Spawto initiate combat.

However, before your cutscene with Spaw is done, Glut will interject andreveal its plans to kill Spaw.

Here, you will have one last chance to back down.

Be sure to pick the dialogue option thatfavors Sovereign Glutin order to initiate combat against Spaw.

Then have one of your other party members speak to Spaw.

This way, Glut will not automatically start combat.

When combat begins,Spaw will be marked as an enemy, alongsideevery other myconid in the colony.

Animating Spores

Animate a corpse under your command.

In Tactician and Honour Mode, Sovereign Spaw’s hit points increase to 145.

This means that all Fire damage is doubled against them.

Use this to your advantage!

The other trick to make this combat go extra quick is totarget Sovereign Spaw.

Not only is it the biggest fighter on the field, butonce Spaw is defeated, combat ends.

You don’t have to worry about those thirteen other enemies when taking down one is enough!

Rewards

Even better yet, the rewards for this easy encounter are quite nice!

Glut will gift you theWinter’s Clutchesgloves, an item that works great on Encrusted builds you might have.

Glut will also give you themission to kill Nere, which will providemore rewards when completed.

If you’re sneaky enough, you might also loot Sovereign Spaw’s body.

It has some herbs and akey that provides protection from sporeson it.
