Void Keywords Explained
Stasis set the foundation for an element’s identity within Destiny 2.
Void 3.0 has a similar keyword system or “verbs” that dictate what your abilities are capable of.
Feed the Voiddoubles the strength of Devour for Warlocks.
Invisibility
You vanish from sight, preventing enemies from targeting you.
Guardians infrequently see you on their radar.
Performing offensive actions will end Invisibility.
Overshield
Adds an additional layer of HP with 50% damage resistance in PVE.
Grants no DR in PvP.
Overshield amount varies based on the source.
Debuffs
Suppression
The enemy cannot use abilities.
PvE enemies cannot attack while suppressed.
Volatile
The target is afflicted with unstable Void energy and will explode upon taking additional damage.
Volatile Rounds counter Barrier Champions.
Weaken
The enemy receives more damage from all sources.
Weaken is either a 15% or 30% debuff depending on the source.
PvE enemies have reduced accuracy and movement speed while Weakened.
Subclass Pickup
Void Breach
A well of Void energy that grants 10% class ability energy when grabbed.
It only spawns for the creator.
Use certain Void Fragments to spawn Void Breaches.
This effect works in PvE and PvP with no differences between each sandbox. It is the Voidwalker Warlock’s specialty.
Arguably the strongest buff tied to Void 3.0, Devour is a staple of just about every PvE build.
TheEcho of StarvationFragment allows every Void class to access Devour, not just Warlocks.
Notable sources of Devour include theFeed the VoidAspect,Echo of StarvationFragment, and theBuried BloodlineExotic Sidearm.
With that said, there is a short grace period upon becoming invisible where actions won’t decloak you.

Some enemies, notably Hive Shriekers, can see through invisibility and shoot you.
There also seems to be a slight delay before enemies drop aggro when you become invisible.
This ping lasts for around a second before you vanish from the radar again.
As with PvE, offensive actions remove invisibility.
PvP overshields grant no damage resistance, only extra HP.It is the Sentinel Titan’s specialty.
As the name suggests, not all overshields count as Void Overshields.
Common sources of Void Overshields include the Sentinel’sBastionAspect, the Repulsor Brace perk, and theVexcalibur Exotic Glaive.
Suppression Explained
Suppressing an Overload Champion stuns them.
Suppression also disables any active abilities, notably Supers on Lucent Hive and Guardians. All classes can utilize Suppression.
Out of the three Void debuffs, Suppression is the rarest of the bunch.
Most players will need to useSuppressor Grenadesto apply this debuff, although Shadowshot andShield Throwcan inflict Suppression as well.
Overall, this is an incredibly powerful effect that can swing entire firefights in your favor.
Volatile Explained
Volatile Rounds can pierce Barrier Champion shields.
This leads to chain reaction explosions for amazing add clear in easier PvE content.
you’re able to get this buff throughEcho of Instabilityand theGyrfalcon’s HauberkExotic for Hunters.
Damage-enhancing debuffs are incredibly useful in PvE content.

Some sources of Weaken are stronger than others, applying a 30% damage increase to the target.
The following sources provide a 30% Weaken effect:
All other sources inflict a 15% Weaken effect.
