Infernal Compasses will not drop until you complete Season 5’s seasonal questline.
The rewards grow substantially with each tier, but so too does the difficulty.
We suggest farming T2 Infernal Hordes when you’re just starting out.
If you’re able to handle Level 100 enemies, jump to T3 and T4.
Higher tiers are balanced around endgame builds, so come prepared.

In general, you’ll want topick modifiers that increase Aether drops.
Some modifiers are rarer than others, denoted with yellow text and multiple hands.
These tend to be tougher but come with much stronger boons.
Keep an eye out for them.
Here are a few modifiers we’ve found in our short time playing Infernal Hordes.

Soulspire Modifiers
The Draining Spires
Soulspires drop +2 Aether
Soulspires now drain HP.
The Corrupting Spires
Soulspires pull foes inward.
Soulspires empower nearby enemies.
The Insatiable Spires
Soulspires drop x2 Aether.
Soulspires require x2 kills to charge.
Aether Fiend Modifiers
The Exalted Elite
Aether Fiends drop +1 Aether.
Elites deal 25% more damage.
The Surging Elite
Elites spawn twice as often.
The Bursting Fiends
Aether Fiends explode and damage foes.
The Summoned Lords
Aether Lords drop +3 Aether.
Aether Lords now spawn.
Hellborne Modifiers
The Summoned Hellborne
Hellborne drop +1 Aether
Hellborne can now spawn as an event.
The Exalted Hellborne
Hellborne drop +1 Aether.
Hellborne deal 25% more damage.
The Invigorating Hellborne
Killing a Hellborne grants +100% attack speed for 10 seconds.
The Stalking Devil
The Butcher drops +25 Aether.
The Butcher can now spawn as an event.
Aetheric Mass Modifiers
The Exalted Masses
Aetheric Masses drop +1 Aether
Aetheric Masses deal 25% more damage.
The Gorging Masses
You have infinite resources while slowed.
Aetheric Masses slow you for 8 seconds when destroyed.
The Bursting Masses
An Aetheric Mass spawns at the start of every wave.
Masses deal unavoidable damage.
The Teeming Masses
Masses spawn an Aether Lord on death.
There aren’t many mechanics or debuffs you should probably juggle here.
Melt every demon in the Fell Council, and you’ll complete the Infernal Hordes activity.
Be sure to spend your Aether on the Infernal Chests before you leave.
Opening this chest costs 60 Aether andcannotbe repeatedly opened.
