However, everyone is given a second chance in Dreamlight Valley, including Jafar!
We’ll guide you every step of the way to unlock him as a villager and befriend him.
Jafar is only available with the A Rift In Time Expansion Pass.
Spoilers for the A Rift In Time Expansion Pass ahead!
This means you’ll need tohave defeated Jafaronce and for all by trapping him inside the lamp.
After he’s sealed away, you’llneed to free him from the lamp.
However, the necessary quest won’t appear right away.
You’ll have to do some sleuthing to begin thequest titled The Lesser Evil.
In this quest, you’ll need tohave Jafar’s Lamp in your inventory.
Explore the Glittering Dunes until youfind a 2D cactus.
Pick it up andshow it to Oswald.
Afterward, you’ll need to find another2D object in both the Wild Tangle and Ancient’s Landing.
Merlin can help you research them, but you’ll need tosearch the palace for Jafar’s notes.
Collectingall three notes in the laboratorywill help Merlin figure out what to do.
Jafar will send you a letter telling you that he will remain inside the palaceon Eternity Isle.
At different intervals, Jafar will have a new quest for you to complete.
Increasing your friendship with him intentionally is the best way tounlock all of these questsquickly!
Jafar’s rewards are themed around him and include furniture, motifs, Star Coins, and clothing.
