Open your inventory and get rid of the staff here.
Return to the main hallto have your belongings searched.
The guards will find nothing andsend you on your way.
You’ll walk away without the staff, butearn 3,000 goldfor the trouble.

Tackle him in the main hall.

The guards will then escort him to gaol.
