Beren will task you withproducing weapons for him and finding a motivated soldierto assist in the endeavor.
However, for the motivated soldier, you’ll need tojourney to Vernworth.
During your conversation with Humphrey,inform him about Beren, progressing the quest.
While in Vernworth, check that to purchase three swords.
Afterward,Beren will challenge you to a duel at the Borderwatch Outpost.
To humor him, simply exit the arena;winning or losing does not matter for the quest progression.
