What Are Ability Scores In Dungeons & Dragons?

Each stat has an ability modifier equal to:(stat-10)/2, rounded down.

So, someone with a Charisma score of 17 will have a modifier of +3.

The skills that use your Dex modifier are Acrobatics, Sleight of Hand, and Stealth.
