That is absolutely the case.
However, not everyone has played that legendary series.
The Suikoden series was first launched in 1996 in the west and quickly gained a cult following.
We take a look at the best games in the series!
With this guide by your side, you’ll have that army raised in no time!
We have created aseparateguide to cover the ins and outs of the battle system.

So, what are all the options you have at your disposal?
The rest are strictly for masochists, but there is nothing wrong with being a masochist!
Basically, there is no harm in beginning the game with some of these options toggled on.
You may as well give any that you find intriguing a go.
How To Traverse The World Quicker
We’re going to keep this one short and sweet.
You may want to delay your exploration of the world until you get them.
If you want to maximize your time, that is.
Eventually, you will get the ability to quick travel, of course.
However, you will need to complete the game’s first four or five dungeons before that unlocks.
That is where trading posts come in.
soyou won’t be able to take advantage of trading during the opening hours of the game.

These are the best JRPGs for newcomers to the genre.
Tips For Recruiting Characters
A massive part of this game is recruiting characters.
So, here are some general tips for getting those recruits on your own…
The last piece of advice we have for you is basic, but necessary.
This will only trigger if you travel up or down that staircase.
Many of the items you will need to recruit certain characters can only be found in these chests.
You will open them by targeting them with a character.
You best strategy is obviously to kill all the enemies, but leave one alive.
We’ve never had it take more than five attempts.
Sharpen Your Weapons!
The weapon system, on the other hand, is a little different.
For the record, when you are equipping your fighters with armor, youshouldbe prioritizing your front line.
However, don’t completely ignore the back-row fighters, as they will still be getting hit too.
Unlike in most traditional JRPGs, you won’t be purchasing new weapons for your compatriots.
A great example of this is Iugo.
This samurai is encountered in an Etelweiss bar.
However, the bar he is occupying is in an alley that isprettywell concealed.
Most players are likely to blow by that alley, and miss Iugo.
Understanding EXP Gain
Generally speaking, Eiyuden Chronicle isn’t a game that requires any grinding.
In fact, the way you gain EXP in general is pretty unique.
In Eiyuden, characters benefit disproportionally when they are at a lower level than an enemy.
However, the amount of EXP you gain falls dramatically as your party grows in strength.
Early Inventory Management And Essential Items
Eiyuden has an inventory system that levels up over time.
And if you aren’t being mindful early, you will almost certainly have this happen to you.
Here are the essential items, and how many we recommend having on hand…
Naturally, your priorities will change as you get better items.
This is just a basic list for when you are in the early hours of the game.
You will want to keep your total inventory to less than a third.
While working your way through a dungeon, you will end up stuffing your pockets with treasure.
You don’t want to be faced with having to discard good stuff!
