How To Customize Weapons
Tarkov takes realism to another level with its gun customization system.
Play around with it and explore; only then will you learn how to efficiently and effectively mod weapons.
To mod a weapon, you’ll need tobuild the workbenchin your hideout.
Simply right-tap on a weapon you have in your stash, and select “Edit Preset.”
From there, you’ll see indicators pointing to every part of the weapon that can be customized.
snag the drop-down menu on any of the boxes, and snag the parts you want.
Afterward, punch thepuzzle icon in the top leftto assemble the weapon.
Voila, you’ve modded your first weapon.
You’ll need to buy the parts if they aren’t already in your stash.
What Are Gunsmith Quests?
The Gunsmith tasks will start once you reachlevel two.
Mechanic will have you mod a different weapon for each one.
It will progressively get more difficult, but it’s aneasy source of XP and item rewardsat early levels.
Read the quest description.
This will tell you what Mechanic wants.
He’ll give you stats, i.e.
a certain level of recoil, ergonomics, weight, etc.
you’ve got the option to find it in-game, or it can bebought from Jaeger.
The same goes for most other gunsmith tasks.
Every gun you hand in must haveat least 60 durability.
