Being the Overseer inFallout Shelteris a hard job.
But when danger lurks around every corner, keeping them alive can feel almost impossible.
Everyone needs more bottle caps and lunchboxes.
Your Dwellers don’t even have to go outside to be exposed to danger.
It comes to the Vault in the form of incidents.
What Are Incidents?
Incidents are events in Fallout Shelter where your Vaultgets attacked by either enemiesfrom the wasteland or afire breaks out.
There are some incidents that start early in the game, and others that get unlocked later.
There areseven different typesof incidents.
During an incident, the only Dwellers who don’tengage are children and pregnant women.
They will, instead, scream and run around the Vault to hide from the danger.
One of these events is aRadroach Infestation.
Radroaches will come out through a hole in the floor and beginattacking any Dwellers in that room.
If they are not swiftly dealt with, they will move on to adjacent rooms until they’re stopped.
Thankfully, these little buggersare very low healthand can be easily squashed by the Dwellers.
This is good considering that none of your Dwellers will have any weaponsthis early in the game.
Are you up to the challenge?
Once the incident is over, they’ll go back to what they were doing before.
The only damage a fire does is to the Dwellers involved.
The rooms will turn black briefly, but once the fire is gone itgradually goes back to normal.
The event is triggered randomly and begins at the Vault door.
When the incident starts, a group of about three or four raiders willbegin attacking the Vault door.
When they reach a room with Dwellers in it, they willstop to fight before continuing to another room.
But as your Vault and Dwellers level up, so will the Raider Attacks.
It’s a good idea to beginstockpiling stimpacks and weaponsas soon as possible so you’re better equipped.
Another safety measureyou can take to help with Raider attacks is tolevel up the Vault Door.
Additionally, you canassign up to two Dwellersto the Vault Room for Guard Duty.
But see to it they’re heavily equipped with firepower, or they won’t stand a chance.
This is also a good practice for the incidentsthat occur later in the game.
Mole rats are a lot tougher and harder to kill than Radroaches.
In addition to the damage to Dwellers, they will alsodrain your Vault’s power supply.
Feral Ghoul Attack
One vault dweller’s trash is another vault dweller’s treasure.
Feral ghouls, however, have suffered brain deterioration as well andgone mad.
Feral Ghouls willattack from the outside, just like Raiders.
Once they break through the Vault door, they will sweep through each room looking for a fight.
Radscorpion Attack
Radscorpions are large, irradiated scorpions that pack a punch.
When a Radscorpion attacks,it means business.
These attacks are random, and startvery similar to Radroaches and Mole Rats.
But that’s where the similarity ends.
The Radscorpion doesn’t move to adjacent rooms like the other creatures.
Instead,it’ll move around the Vault at random.
These beasties are big and mean andcan do a lot of damage.
Your Vault door is but an insult to them, and will betorn down in seconds.
Deathclaws barge right in, moving through the rooms by smashing the floor out of the elevators.
Also be prepared todrag your Dwellers around to different roomsto deal with the attack as needed.
We recommendexpanding your stimpak storagein advance.
You won’t get far in the wasteland without power, food, or water.
