Here’s how to break the seal on Caldarus and begin your romance with him as a simple farmer.

How To Unlock Caldarus
Unlike the other romance candidates,Caldarus is not availableright away.
Despite chatting with him anddoing his biddingfrom the beginning, he isa statue and not a person.
At leastuntil you make more progress.
To unlock Caldarus, you’ll need to delvedeep into the mines and reach floor 60.
Here, you’llencounter the Fire Sealand need to break it to proceed.
She’ll give you a list of items that are needed to progress further.
Bring all the materials to the altar, then watch the cutscene that unfolds.
Caldarus will take on a humanoid form andretreat to the Deep Woods.
To unlock this region, you’ll need touse the Dragon’s Breath spellto burn through the brambles.
From there, enter the woods and head right.
Hop over the stump, or cut it down, thenproceed north to the temple.
Inside, you’ll find Caldarus resting.
When Caldarus is unlocked, he’llstick to his temple in the Deep Woods.
You’ll have to trek there to see him, oruse the teleportation statueto move about quickly.
He hopes you’ll visit him often, though he wouldn’t want to impose.
