FATEs are random events that can occur inFinal Fantasy 14’s different zones.
There are two special FATEs in Dawntrail.
You willneed to be able to flyin this zone to get here.
Before Mascot Murder spawns, there aretwo prerequisite FATEsthat must first be completed.
This boss will use the following mechanics.

Mica willdivide the arena into six sections.
In each section will be afloating card with a number of acorns on it, from 1 to 6.
Draw
Mica will flash cards around himself with aspecific number of acorns on it.
This will berepeated a second time, so you’ll need toremember which cards are shownfor the next mechanic.
Card Trick
AoE
After castingDraw, Mica will thenblast five of the six sections of the arena.
Thesafe spot corresponds to the number of the card shown during Draw.
This attack is repeated for as many cards as Mica showed during Draw.
There are usuallysafe spots around the edges of the arena, so look there first.
Shimmerstorm
Circle AoEs
Targets random players with circle AoEs.
Move out of them to avoid taking damage.
Double Misdirect
Conal AoE
Deals damage intwo sets of conal AoEs.
The first set is telegraphed but thesecond set is not.
Move into the previously unsafe area after the first set resolves to avoid the second set.
Spark of Imagination
Roomwide AoE
Deals damage to all party members.
Magical Hat
Line AoEs
Creates arow of circlesthat will then fireline AoEs in both directionsintwo sets.
Round of Applause
Ring AoE/Circle AoE
Similar toFlourishing Bow, butin reverse.
Deals damage in alarge ring AoEfollowed immediately by apoint-blank AoE.
Avoid these in the same way as with Flourishing Bow.
Mica will repeat these mechanics until he is defeated.
Subsequent uses ofDealandDrawwill have Mica showthree cards, and thepatterns will be a bit more complicated.
How To Get And Use Mica Magicogs
Completing Mascot Murder will reward you with Mica Magicogs.
The amount you get depends on your rating.
you might spend your Mica Magicogs by speaking toUah’Shepya in Solution Nine (X:8.7, Y:13.5).
