UPA Challenge Round One

The second fight is againstten Tonberries.
Evading the Chef’s Knife ability is the only way to pressure a Tonberry,as they haveno weaknesses.
Failure to dodge Chef’s Knife will cause Instant Death, regardless of your current health.
To get past this battle, you’ll need yourentire party equipped with the Safety Bitaccessory.
ASafety Bit grants immunity to Instant Death, Slow, and Petrify.
If those Tonberries are still giving you trouble,consider bringing Enemy Skill Materiato inflict status ailments.
TheRancid Breath Enemy Skill is capable of inflicting multiple status ailmentson several enemies at once.
Tonberries are onlyimmune to Morphable Item, so forget about that Morph Materia.
UPA Challenge Round Three
The third round has you fighting against anEmber Zu.
Ranged attacks and Ice magic are enoughto bring this enemy down.
UPA Challenge Round Four
The fourth battle is againsttwo Jokers and a Gigantoad.
The Jokers areweak to Windandbecome pressured after evading their Soul Sucker ability.
The Gigantoad isweak to Iceandbecomes pressured after inflicting enough damage on their tongue.
Yuffie canuse Brumal Form to easily dodge, then counter with Windstormto pressure Jokers.
UPA Challenge Round Five
The final round has you go up against anIronclad.
This enemy isweak to Electricityandbecomes staggered after using its Sharpen ability.
If the Ironcladisn’t staggered after using Sharpen, it will unleash a powerful attack.
Wait until it uses Sharpen, then use your ATBto perform abilities that fill the stagger gauge.
Once staggered,go all out with abilitiesto take this fight.
Selena’s speed can be enhanced even furtherwith the Mystical gear from Cosmo Canyon.
To beat the UPA’s score, focus onquickly destroying enemies and steering clear of their attacks.
Thetime bonus and performance bonus can easily double your scorewhen the minigame ends.
Theinventory bonusdepends on how manyRestorative Chargesyou have,but they only add 1,000 points each.
preserve your Proton Bombs for large enemieswith giant health bars.
Your score isinfluenced by the types of defeated enemiesandPoint Panels obtained.
