Ive enjoyed being back, and mymore casual approachhas made my return more leisurely.
But this isnt why I havent caught the Galarian birds yet.
Theyre obscenely rare and, if you do manage to encounter one, theyre incredibly difficult to catch.
When Daily Adventure Incense was first released, and the Galarian birds with it, I encountered a few.
In the first month I must have found two Galarian Articuno and three Galarian Moltres.
I didnt see a single Galarian Zapdos, which was a shame because its clearly the coolest one.
But that was okay.
Five encounters a month was a reasonable rate.
Then it fell off a cliff.
For a long while I kept up my daily walks with the free incense.
But the birds came less often, until they stopped appearing at all.
Now Im taking a more casual approach, I probably use my daily incense three times a week.
In Pokemon Go,shiny Legendary Pokemondo not flee from battle.
If you find one in a Raid, its an automatic catch.
Just hit the creature with one of your ten-or-so balls, and itll be caught.
If its shiny, it wont flee.
The Galarian birds shiny variants are great designs, giving the reimagined avians the colouration of the original trio.
Naturally, players think that this means they have a higher chance of catching a Galarian bird.
And, technically, it does.
The problem is, were not even seeing them.
At least, Im not.
But Im not hopeful for my chances.
Im not hopeful for any of us.
