In the last week alone, two Bloodborne fan projects have been hit by Sony with DMCA takedowns.
The patch has already been uploaded to Nexus Mods by someone who isnt the original creator.
Posts on the mod are largely deriding Sonys choice to issue a takedown notice.
Most of them have curse words.
Former TheGamer editor Issy van der Veldeplayed and loved it.
The same creator released theBloodborne-inspired racer Nightmare Kartlast year.
Take that how you will.
Is This Copium Or Evidence?
The thing is, I dont think this is necessarily a copium theory.
A spiritual successor could take the idea of Bloodborne even further.
Yoshida has commented on a lot of things after retiring.
He also said thatremasters are necessary to fund new projectsandapologised for being wrong about the potential of PS VR2.
I dont think this is intentional misdirection.
Its also not entirely unusual for Sony to go after fan projects, like the aforementioned Nightmare Kart.
But man, the timing really does seem to be lining up.
Its a guaranteed moneymaker.
Not for me though, I dont personally care.
Some of you guys might be crashing out right now, though.
