Everybody knows thatMarvel Rivalsis absolutely killing it right now.
I say all this largely as an outside observer.
Im not invested enough to git gud or even learn to play more than one character well.
Quite frankly, even if I was, I’d probably still be bad.
I’m okay with admitting that on the internet, where things live forever.
Hes right, but I still have no idea what he meant by that.
All of this really just means that Im a diehard casual.
Like, the onlyjuststarted playing in comp kind of casual.
Lokis shapeshifting and stealth is totally in keeping with his portrayals.
Doctor Stranges portals, of course, are core to his character.
Hulk having to be weakened to his human form before you could take him out permanently totally tracks.
And, of course, Spider-Man is swinging all over the place.
They all have different strengths and weaknesses, different levels of mobility, and often entirely unique powers.
Take Loki, for example.
Id been pummelling the guy inside the field and wondering why nothing was happening.
I wouldve known that if I played Loki, but I never have.
Has everybody played every character and memorised all their abilities?
If Rivals had fewer characters, this wouldnt be as big an issue.
And commitment isnt the only problem.
Overwatch 2 needs a competitor, not an executioner.
Throw skins into the mix, and a player like me is pretty much cooked.
Itstoo much, and Rivals is only promising to add more and more.
Hows a filthy casual meant to thrive under these conditions?
