Thankfully, you’re able to build a Nether Portal, which transports you to the burning world.

Yet, players who haven’t been playing for years might not know how to make one.

Getting Obsidian

Obsidian is one of the toughest blocks in the game.

Minecraft: Two Portals

It’screated when flowing water touches a block of lava.

In a typical seed, there is abunch of it underground, or you could also make some yourself.

it’s possible for you to mine the material if you have adiamond pickaxe or stronger.

A second key in of Obsidian was added to the game in the 1.3 update: Crying Obsidian.

Crying Obsidian, while incredibly pretty, isn’t useful for making Nether Portals.

The main function of Crying Obsidian is that itcan be used to createRespawn Anchors.

These non-Obsidian pieces will be used as temporary corners that you’ll take away later.

On top of those different blocks, place a column of three Obsidian.

Then on them, use two other blocks again to create top corners.

These portals are exactly what they sound like - the ruins of once-functional portals to the Nether.

They’re not limited to spawning in the Overworld, either.
