The Gunlance is a powerful, destructive weapon in Monster Hunter Wilds - here are our combo tips!
The reason is two-fold.
The weapon has two parts.
The actualGunlance with which you will attack your enemiesand theshield that will let you block.
This creates interesting build opportunities, but the farming can also become tedious.
The Magazine/Ironwall Jewel Level Three offersLoad Shells and Guard, while Artillery Jewel Three offersArtillery Level Three.
Finally, Guardian Jewel One will offerOffensive Guard Level One.
TheLoad Shells skill helps with reloadingwhile alsoincreasing the shell capacityof the Gunlance.
This will offer Counterstrike Level One, whichprovides an attack boost when you get knocked back by the enemy.
You also get Burst Level Two from the armor piece, whichincreases your attack when dealing elemental damage.
You receiveEarplugsLevel One, which helpscircumvent monster roars.
In the hand slot, you will need Guardian Ebony Bracers Alpha, butthere are no Jewel slots here.
However, the armor piece provides you withBurst Level Two and Divine Blessing Level One.
With this, your Burst goes up to Level Four, which further improves the impact of elemental damage.
Additionally, you getAgitator Level Two from this armor piece, which increases your damage when monsters are enraged.
You also need tomake sure that Burst is activated by hitting the monster quite consistently.
However, the more you learn the perfect guard mechanic, the easier it will be to create openings.
The Gunlance shield is extremely powerful, and it’s possible for you to pretty much fight monsters head-on.
