How To Unlock Artifacts
Artifacts can be unlocked by first reaching the fifth stage,Sky Meadow.
On this stage, find one of the circular openings that leads to anarea below the map.
Here, you’ll find theCompound Generator, where you caninput various codesthat open a portal toBulwark’s Ambry.
Then, interact with the computer to open a portal to the Bulwark’s Ambry.
Artifact Keys drop randomly from enemies.
Do this three more times, and the challenge will be complete.
This will permanently unlock the Artifact for use in further runs.
Artifact of Chaos
Artifact of Chaos: Friendly fire is enabled for both survivors and monsters alike.
This Artifact will allow teammates todamage and kill each other, and monsters will do the same.
Artifact of Command
Artifact of Command: Choose your items.
The Artifact of Command allows you to choose which item you acquire when you open a chest.
Instead of an actual item dropping, it will instead be replaced by aCommand Essenceof the same rarity.
Interacting with this will open a selection menu, letting you choose any item of the given rarity tier.
This Artifact lets you create your own build of favored items rather than relying on RNG.
Artifact of Death
Artifact of Death: When one player dies, everyone dies.
Enable only if you want to truly put your teamwork and individual skill to the ultimate test.
Artifact of Dissonance
Artifact of Dissonance: Monsters can appear outside their usual environments.
This Artifact will allow monsters to appear in a stage they don’t normally appear in.
Artifact of Evolution
Artifact of Evolution: Monsters gain items between stages.
This Artifact will give monsters a random item every time you advance to the next stage.
The further you go, the higher the rarity of the item they receive.
These items are alsopermanent, meaning by the fourth stage all monsters will have four items.
Artifact of Frailty
Artifact of Frailty: Fall damage is doubled and lethal.
This Artifact makes falling off the stage much more dangerous.
With the Artifact of Frailty, ledges will pose a much greater threat than normal.
Loader is not affected by this Artifact,due to her passive ability of being immune to fall damage.
Artifact of Glass
Artifact of Glass: Allies deal 500% damage but have 10% health.
The Artifact of Glass will also make certain items likeInfusionless effective.
Artifact of Honor
Artifact of Honor: Enemies can only spawn as elites.
The Artifact of Honorupgrades all monsters to elites, making them much harder to kill.
However, this also opens up the opportunity for items likeOld GuillotineandBrainstalksto be much more effective.
Artifact of Kin
Artifact of Kin: Monsters will be of only one pop in per stage.
With the Artifact of Kin, only a single key in of enemy will spawn on each stage.
When used withArtifact of Dissonance, any single punch in of enemy can spawn.
Artifact of Metamorphosis
Artifact of Metamorphosis: Players will spawn as a random survivor.
This can also make building items for a specific survivor more difficult.
This Artifact will make monstersdrop items when you kill them, at the cost of chests no longer appearing.
Artifact of Soul
Artifact of Soul: Wisps emerge from defeated monsters.
This Artifact makes Wisps spawn when you kill a monster.
These spawned Wispsdo not give money, experience, oritem dropswhen used withArtifact of Sacrifice.
Essentially, they just provide an extra challenge.
Artifact of Spite
Artifact of Spite: Enemies drop multiple exploding bombs on death.
This Artifact will have monsters dropexploding bombswhen they die, making it a bad idea to stay near them.
While this can be avoided, it makesmelee survivors like Mercenary more vulnerable at close range.
This Artifact splits the health of monsters in half but spawns twice as many.
Artifact of Vengeance
Artifact of Vengeance: Your relentless doppelganger will invade every 10 minutes.
This Artifact will spawn a clone of your survivorevery 10 minutes.
