By this point,most, if not all, of your unitsshould be promotedto keep up with enemies.
Thankfully, there’sa handy sigilnearby to grind Renown.
The quickest way to do this is a three-pronged attack.
The unit guarding the command point is a Dark Knight and thus vulnerable to Gryphon and Wyvern Knights.
After they’ve claimed the spot, they cankeep going northand take out the other sorcerer.
Park them at that command point until the barrier is lowered.

Eltolindewill automatically join your partyafter you complete this fight.
