You do not unlock him by winning his matches.
The mode splices in clips from WWE programming to give you the full story leading up to the encounter.
A particularly challenging task in this regard is a Ladder Match early in the mode.
Simply winning the Match will allow you to go to the next stage of the mode.
Completing all the Objectivesunlocks all the Superstars, Managers, and Arenasavailable for that match.
